Mary Dodd and Kim Bhogal Teachers at Fallingbrook Middle School in Mississauga Canada, used Zero to educate their grade six class in 'Social Justice' issues. Their students were asked to create artworks accompanied by a written assignment exploring the themes presented in the film. We're very happy to announce that Zero has won the Bronze Award at the Shorts Film Festival in Adelaide. The prize sponsored by Bestfx+Boom Sound is one day (10 hours) final mix in a ‘Boom Sound’ Dolby 6.1 approved mixing theatre and one week of Pro-tools sound edit suite hire at Bestfx (with access to the massive FX library), to the combined value of $6,500. Many thanks to the Shorts Film festival for offering their finalists such wonderful prizes. It's refreshing to see smaller festivals eclipse some of the bigger international festivals when it comes to rewarding the winners.

What an exciting weekend its been for Zero. On Saturday night we picked up a couple of awards at the Bondi Short Film Festival, then at the same time Zero wins Best Animation at the "Grand OFF" - World of Independent Film Awards in Poland. Zero was amongst the final 6 nominated films in the Animation category, selected out of 895 shorts submitted this year. The Grand OFF awards are the most important event promoting independent cinema in Poland and one of the most significant initiatives of its kind all over the world.

Director Christopher Kezelos and Producer Christine Kezelos Last night we attended the Bondi Short Film Festival where Zero picked up two awards; Best Script and Best Design! Now in it’s 10th year, the festival took place at the Bondi Pavillion in Sydney where it screened 14 amazing films. Thanks again to everyone involved in the production for helping Zero receive the success it has this year.

We're very happy to announce that Zero has won 'Best Short Film' at the Naples International Film Festival. This signature film event in Southwest Florida ran from the 4th – 7th November 2010 and contained a program full of panels, Q&A sessions and special events. Earlier this month Zero's Composer Kyls Burtland was nominated for an APRA Screen Music Award, now the film's Sound Designer Brendan O'Brien gets a nod by being nominated for an Australian Screen Sound Award. This is the second acknowledgement Brendan has received for his work on Zero having won Best Achievement in Sound at Flickerfest back in January.
