We’re very happy to announce that Zero has won the award for ‘Best Animation’ at the 2010 ATOM Awards. Now in its 28th year, the annual awards were hosted by Vince Colosimo at Melbourne’s Plaza Ballroom on Saturday 23rd October and recognised excellence in over thirty categories of Film, Television, Animation and Multimedia (including video games).
The night kicked-off with pre-event cocktails and canapés followed by the introduction of finalists and the announcement of winners. An after party followed where we had the privilege of meeting a number of fellow stop motion animators from around Australia who had also won awards on the night. Check out Lucky by Melbourne animator Darcy Prendergast who won the award for ‘Best Experimental Film’ and My Neighbourhood has been overrun by Baboons by South Australian animators Cameron Edser and Michael Richards who won the award for ‘Best Music Video’.
