We’re happy to announce that Zero will be screening at Hollywood Shorts this Sunday 23rd January 2011. Screening monthly, Hollywood Shorts celebrates the outstanding achievements in short filmmaking and animation from both U.S. and international directors and their creative teams.  Over 300 short and animated films are programmed year round.

The screening is free and takes place from 5 – 8pm at Cinespace on Hollywood Blvd, however RSVP is required. The full line-up of films can be viewed here.

We’re happy to report that Zero has been selected for the 2011 Adelaide Film Festival. Listed in Variety Magazine’s Top 50 Unmissable Film Festivals around the world, the AFF is an 11 day celebration of the moving image in all its manifestations. Established in 2002, the AFF is Australia’s premiere film event, celebrating contemporary screen culture from around Australia and the world.

Zero has been selected to screen at the Open Media Festival in Moscow, Russia. The objective of the festival “Dreams in Focus” – is to encourage people to realise their own capabilities, self-worth and significance in life, to encourage people to realize their dreams and mission in life and show a variety of opportunities for self-realisation and implementation of goals. The films will be followed by workshops, master-classes and lectures geared towards helping people achieve their dreams.

What an exciting weekend its been for Zero. On Saturday night we picked up a couple of awards at the Bondi Short Film Festival, then at the same time Zero wins Best Animation at the “Grand OFF” – World of Independent Film Awards in Poland. Zero was amongst the final 6 nominated films in the Animation category, selected out of 895 shorts submitted this year. The Grand OFF awards are the most important event promoting independent cinema in Poland and one of the most significant initiatives of its kind all over the world.

Last night we attended the Bondi Short Film Festival where Zero picked up two awards; Best Script and Best Design! Now in it’s 10th year, the festival took place at the Bondi Pavillion in Sydney where it screened 14 amazing films. Thanks again to everyone involved in the production for helping Zero receive the success it has this year.

Zero has been selected to screen at the Dawn Breakers International Film Festival. Established in 2007, the festival’s mission is to emphasise the spiritual unity of all humankind. The line-up includes 40 films across all categories including feature films, shorts, documentaries, animations, music videos, webcasts, television shows and experimental films.

We’re very happy to announce that Zero has won ‘Best Short Film’ at the Naples International Film Festival. This signature film event in Southwest Florida ran from the 4th – 7th November 2010 and contained a program full of panels, Q&A sessions and special events. Many thanks to the judges who recognised our film and audience members who have given us wonderful feedback.

We’re proud to announce Zero’s first museum screening at Barcelona’s International Festival of Contemporary Art. BAC!, incorporates various media, from murals to installations, contributed by galleries all over the world. The works are spread across several city venues but are united by the festival’s yearly changing theme, this year it’s “El Tiempo” (“Time”).
