In November 2009, we reported that Zero received a NSW/ACT Gold Award from the Australian Cinematographers Society in the Experimental and Specialised category. Last night it competed in the Nationals and walked away with a Golden Tripod, the top award for the category.
These are the peak awards that celebrate the art of moving image photography in Australia. This year’s gala event was held at the ANZ Pavilion, Victorian Arts Centre on Saturday 1st May and for the first time, also aired on The Movie Network.
Congratulations to Zero’s Director of Photography Matthew Horrex on this outstanding achievement.
Update: Here’s a video of Matthew Horrex receiving his award.
